Every player has the skills. Not every player has the headspace.

Players freeze after one mistake. Nerves kick in before big games. The car journey home goes quiet. Grassroots coaches get little time and few tools for the mental side of the game, so it often gets left out. Football Mindset gives you one small, practical idea at a time.

One app, three views

Who it's for

For players

Bite-sized cards written for their age, with versions for 7 to 9, 10 to 12 and 13 to 16. There's a simple cue word to remember on the pitch, a few steps to try, and a football quiz for fun. Their daily feed stops after 10 cards, so it's an app that knows when to put the phone down.

For coaches

Ideas you can use at Saturday training: games to try, things to say, and a session builder that prints a ready-to-use A4 plan. Match day mode keeps the right card handy on the touchline.

For parents and carers

Simple ways to help without adding pressure: what to say on the touchline, what to leave unsaid, and how to handle the car journey home.

Who's behind it

Made by a grassroots coach

Hi, I'm Rob, a grassroots coach based in the Midlands. I've coached football and rugby for many years, with players aged 6 to 16, alongside other grassroots coaches at lots of different levels. I've coached many neurodivergent children, with close family experience of ADHD, and I've often written individual development plans so every player gets the most from the game.

Football Mindset takes the mindset side of that coaching and turns it into short cards any coach or parent can use.
